Australia is the world largest
island and the smallest continent. In fact, Australia is the only country
that is also a continent
Australia has population of about 20
million people. That makes this island nation one of the least densely
populated countries. The majority of Australians are English., Irish,
Italian, Greek, Dutch and Polish descent. However over the past 50 years some
4 million people from more than 120 countries have made Australia their home.
This includes larger number of Asian and African immigrant. About one percent
of population is Aborigine. The Aborigine people were undeveloped settler in
Australia. They came from Asia about 40.000 years ago.
In addition to being the smallest
continent. However much of the land particularly in the outback is so arid
that people unable to live on metropolitan state. That explains why most
Australian live in metropolitans areas. it is considered one of the world’s
most driest countries.
